«It was magnificent to overcome the adverse conditions of the Astana climate with the concept of a building with a huge glass façade. The structure envisioned a second interior façade, providing a buffer zone between the exterior and the interior spaces. Coordinating efforts across various specialities also enabled the efficient heating and cooling of its large nine-storey atrium. Numerous measures were taken to ensure the protection of the building in both the harsh windy winter and in the hot dry summer of Astana.»
